Sarah & Sam’s Kiftsgate Court Gardens Wedding

Sarah and Sam got married at St James’ Church in Chipping Camden, before heading over to the Kiftsgate Court Gardens to celebrate.

Sarah and Sam stayed local for their wedding, making the most of the beautiful surroundings in Chipping Camden. Sarah started her day getting ready at home with her bridesmaids, and Sam a short walk down the road with the groomsmen (a couple getting prepped in such local proximity is a bit of a treat for me). Once the guys were suited and booted they walked over to St James’ Church, the girls followed in a set of classic cars. It’s safe to say I learnt a lot about the the direction of Chipping Camden’s one way system on my arrival, but that’s probably a story for another time…

Following the service and an impressively long line of confetti throwing guests, Sam drove the couple off to Kiftsgate Court Gardens. It would be difficult to overstate the beauty of the gardens, and they make an especially breathtaking venue for a wedding reception. The gardens were created in the 1920s and cared for through three generations of women. Kiftsgate Court Gardens are well worth a visit even if you don’t manage to celebrate a wedding there. The guests convened on the terrace for drinks and canapés served by Ross & Ross and we wondered the gardens with no end of spots to grab the couple’s portraits and group shots.

Not for the first time at a wedding I’d covered last year (although I’m not selling myself as a lucky charm just yet), the rain was kind to us and waited until we’d moved under the cover of the marquee for the speeches and wedding breakfast before pouring down.

Following the speeches, cake cutting and bouquet throwing, the couple danced with their guests right into the evening, helped on by the wonderfully energetic performance of Grande Groove and then followed on by DJ Dom Price. A fantastic wedding to be involved in, I’ve listed everyone involved below the photos.
