Kate & Rob’s Oxford University Church Wedding & After Party!

Kate & Rob got married in University Church of St Mary the Virgin before walking over to Rhodes House for the reception.

You shouldn’t worry about the weather on your wedding day, Kate and Rob’s wedding is a great example for this. From the moment they walked out of the University Church to the party at Rhodes house, it did not stop raining. It’s safe to say this didn’t stop Kate & Rob having the best time of their lives and they were both absolutely beaming throughout the day.

Both former Oxford students, they based their day around the university. Starting with a ceremony at the beautiful University Church of St Mary the Virgin before walking their guests through the landmarks of the city to Rhodes House for their reception. They were met by a brass band & magician who entertained the guests during their welcome drinks, before cutting the cake and sitting down at giant trestle tables going across the Milner Hall. In the evening they had their first dance performed by a band consisting their best man and friends, before laying down all the moves until the early hours on the dance floor.

The next day I was invited to join them at the after party which they hosted in Kate’s parents garden, making the most of the sun that had found it’s way out. Here we made full use of their DIY flower wall and the guests had a chance to finish off the personalised “Rob & Kate” ales (amazing idea, every wedding should have it’s own beer!)

Thank you SO much for the photos – we absolutely love them. Every time we look at them, we love them a bit more. You have really managed to capture the whole spirit of the day, from the beauty of the church, not to mention the driving rain through to the emotion of the speeches and the madness of the dancefloor. And the Sunday pictures are really fabulous (possibly because there was no driving rain…). Everyone we have showed them to loves them, and so many people have mentioned how lovely it was to have you around, so thank you for capturing our wedding day so beautifully and honestly. We made such a good choice in you!
