Fleur & Drew’s Tythe Barn Wedding

Hey! It’s time to catch up on an amazing summer of weddings, starting with Fleur & Drew’s flower filled wedding in Oxfordshire!

Its been a crazy summer, my busiest so far for sure (or it’s just felt that way as I’ve learned how to parent a one year old whilst working as a freelancer – I’m just about there on that now…)! Anyway starting with one of my first weddings this year, all the way back in March – Fleur & Drew’s beautiful wedding at The Tythe Barn in Taunton, Oxfordshire. Their wedding has just been featured in the latest edition of Cotswold Bride Magazine;

Although the wedding took place over seven months ago, there’s an Autumnal feel with the colours of the day that makes it quite fitting to look at now, a mixture of the gold sequins of the bridesmaid’s dresses, the deep greens from the foliage and the warm light from the sparklers which Fleur and Drew left under at the end of the day.

The ceremony took place in St Mary’s Church which is connected to to The Tythe Barn by a walkway through the gardens – Fleur & Drew went from the ceremony to their reception under a huge shower of confetti. Fleur had described in advance her love of all things floral, and their wedding truly lived up to this! The Flower Story did an incredible job of bringing their idea of a secret garden to life throughout the church and barn.

When they got to the reception the guests had welcome drinks before sitting at their flower named tables (of course ) in a barn full of fairy lights and foliage. Following the wedding breakfast and speeches, they were suprised by their family who had organised singing waiters at post-meal entertainment. I’m still working on my singing photographer sideline act… After an evening of drinking and dancing in the fairy lit barn, they were sent off as a married couple in the best possible way through a lineup of sparklers.
