Lindsey & Robin’s Alders Farm Fishery Wedding

Here it goes, I’m going to start catching you up with my summer season. Beginning with Lindsey and Robin’s beautiful wedding!

Lindsey and Robin got married at Alders Farm Fishery in Milton Keynes. A fishery probably isn’t the first place to enter your mind when looking for your perfect wedding venue, but it was an inspired choice. Surrounded by beautiful woodlands (probably my favourite place for couple portraits),  the ceremony took place with the lake serving as a stunning backdrop whilst guests watched on from haystacks. It was the second wedding the fishery have hosted, I reckon they might have a few more next year..

Lindsey and Robin both got ready at the same B&B with their families before heading off to their ceremony. Robin surprised Lindsey with a signed card from Robert Smith (from Lindsey’s favourite band The Cure), which could well be the best wedding card you can get for your fiancé on the morning of your wedding?! Despite having a relatively low key morning getting ready with her mum, Lindsey managed to keep Robin sweating at the alter for an impressive amount of time – this is always good fun for a wedding photographer! Lindsey followed their dog Colin down the aisle (well technically up the hill), he struggled to keep his cool when reuniting with Robin – see the photo.

Loads of great DIY wedding bits to check out in this one, from the beautiful flowers to the incredible multicolour macaroon covered wedding cakes. They did an amazing job with the marquee, covering it from top to bottom in upcycled decorations, bouquets and even a guitar for guests to leave messages on.

It was a really great wedding to be a apart of, Lindsey and Robin both put in so much work to turn the fishery into a stunning wedding venue, and then celebrated with a brilliant yet relaxed wedding day. I’ve included a list of suppliers below the photos.

Congratulations Lindsey and Robin!
